Tell me about the product you're proudest of having worked on.

How to approach it

Pick a product where your own role is clear and the result can be measured, then spend most of the time on the decisions you personally made.

How a strong answer opens

“The product I'm proudest of is a scheduling tool for home care nurses that cut missed visits by about a third. I was the PM, and the decision I'm proudest of is a feature we chose not to build.”

Outline of a strong answer

Try answering out loud for a few minutes before you open this.

  1. The product, its users and the problem it solved
  2. Your exact role and the team around you
  3. One hard decision you made and the option you rejected
  4. The result, with a number such as adoption or revenue
  5. Why it matters to you beyond the numbers
