A referral doesn't get you the job, but it often gets your resume read by a person rather than sitting in a large pile. For PM roles, where many applicants have similar-looking backgrounds, that can be the difference between a recruiter call and silence. This lesson covers what makes a referral useful, how to ask for one, how to reach out to people you don't know, and how to follow up without being a nuisance.
The module's idea applies here too: lead with evidence, then ask clearly. Every message you send should give the reader a reason to help and a specific, easy request.
